This week was a very distracting one in the fact that hunting season opener was Saturday. So after making it through the week and doing my best to sleep Friday night the morning finally came. Up at 5:20 am to be in my stand by 6:30 I was. After sitting in my stand for all of 20 min a nice sized doe walked out. I shot it and it fell over. Much to my surprise it stood up and started to walk away so i shot it again. Yet again it fell over stood up and started to walk away i watched it walk about 200 feet and lay down so i waited it out. After 10 min i gotout of my stand walked up to the doe and watched it stand up and start walking away from me. I was going to shoot again but my cousin was in a stand not far behind it so i couldnt shoot. after walking it right to my cousin i stood back to watch it walk past her up and over a hill and disappear. When i asked her y she didnt shoot it she said she didnt have a doe tag. So up to the top of the hill i went to find that the deer was not there.... (more)
